Andrea Mestrov

Andrea joined PWN in 2013 and has served as a mentor since 2015. She brings a global development perspective to her role overseeing mentorship.

Andrea is an international community development economist, strategist, management consultant, and gender specialist. She consults both independently and for a niche international development, organizational management and leadership consulting company - IMPAKT ApS. Her work focuses on improving the rights, health outcomes, and economic empowerment of women and girls. For over 20 years, she has been researching, designing, implementing, financially managing, monitoring, and evaluating development programs in a range of roles and assignments (government aid programs, multilateral development banks, UN agencies, NGOs, and grassroots civil society organizations). Andrea spent her formative career in banking and finance.

She is curious about how the world works and after many years living abroad (in Argentina, Pakistan, Bolivia, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, The Congo, Australia, UK, USA, and NZ), Andrea settled down in Denmark. She relaxes when she is active in nature and adores visiting the wilderness whenever she can.
